Sunday, 08/19/07: Arrival at Romblon island
With the sunrise the next day our final travel destination shows up. The provincial capital Romblon has one of the best and loveliest natural harbors protected from the wind. This town is influenced by the Spanish colonial style. Your first steps here will give you the feeling that you landed in a totally different world. By taxi we reach our accommodations in San Pedro Resort where we will move into our rooms in small bungalows. After a plentiful welcome breakfast you can arrange the day according to your own taste. In the evening we meet for a barbecue on the beach. Here we present you the agenda of the following days. Individual wishes may be accounted for.

Monday, 08/20/07: "Welcome to the Marble Country!"
The Philippines are the only country in Southeastern Asia that has economically realizable deposits of marble available. The largest mining sites are found in Romblon. In the early morning we start with adventurous three wheel taxis (tricycles) for the largest marble stone pit in the mountains. The partly medieval method of working of the marble laborers will amaze you all the more when you marvel at the delicate handcrafts of the masters. After the visit at the marble pit and the workshops we are driving back to our accommodations. During this drive there is plenty of time for stays on deserted beaches with nonrecurring panoramas that offer you numerous themes and moods for unique photographs.
Tuesday, 08/21/07: Capital city of Romblon
In the morning of the fifth day we dive into the colorful buzz of activity on the market of the capital of the island. Let the colorfulness, the opulent flavor of unknown exotic fruits, the view of marine animals of all sorts and the friendly blatant bargaining of the marketers and their customers enchant you. The restaurants in the neighborhood offer the opportunity for a small meal. In the afternoon our first model shooting will take place on a secluded beach. The paradisiac photo location on a lonesome palm beach, framed by bizarre rock formations, and a native model are the guarantee for exotic and aesthetic exposures. The technical equipment we bring along (brighteners, awnings etc.) will boost the quality of your photographs. It is understood that model releases for commercial rights of use are to be agreed upon individually. (Templates in German and English are available from us on location. The models we book will be presented with first photos until the middle of May on this web site. We will publish more pictures from the first photo expedition in March 2007 on these pages, too.)
Wednesday, 08/22/07: Sea life
Dives and snorkel dives in the wonderful underwater world will inspire you. Harpoons for underwater hunting are at your disposal. You will feel like Robinson! We will grill and eat the captured marine animals and this will round off the eventful day.
Thursday, 08/23/07: Boat tour
In the morning a tour in the boats of the native fishers marks the beginning of a new day full of events. The rising sun will duly light up the event. In the afternoon another model shooting on uninhabited islands in the neighborhood will take place. The cyan ocean with its seemingly untouched unique beauty will stay in your memory forever. Terrific exposures will reward you additionally.
Friday, 08/24/07: Walking tour
The interior island of Romblon is fantastic and quaint at the same time. On breathtaking paths we hike through diversified nature and landscape. In the evening we will return to our resort with a rich photo prey.
Saturday, 08/25/07: Jeepney tour
An organized drive with the world-famous jeepneys will become an adventurous day. In the hinterland we find fantastic colors, e. g. the deeply saturated green of the paddy fields. On this day we observe and take part in the simple rural life of the island inhabitants.
Sunday, 08/26/07: The stone washers of Romblon
We visit the stone washers in the Northern part of the island. The round red stones seem like gemstones and the workers wrest them from the earth like gold washers. Let the numerous themes relocate you into an unreal world.
Monday, 08/27/07: Tour around the harbor
We drive to the harbor where we watch and photograph the arrival of ferries and ships. Sheer colors and happiness. We spent the evening together with a barbecue on the beach.
Tuesday, 08/28/07: Goodbye to Romblon
The morning is destined for the travel preparations for the journey on the sea ferry back to Manila. After the check-in on the ferry we cozily sit together and the journey into the sundown gives us the opportunity to review a wonderful photo and experimental journey.
Wednesday, 08/29/07: Arrival at Manila
The two faces of a great trip into the Third World. After the arrival in the Holiday Inn in Manila we will offer an excursion into the poor quarters of this Asiatic metropolis for all who are interested. All other participants are free to arrange the last day of the trip at their own taste.
